Position Summary :
The 1099 Cable / Fiber Install Technician is responsible for successfully installing, changing, repairing, and disconnecting cable services for Optimum residential and commercial clients.
Job duties include installing new cable systems, troubleshooting current systems that are causing problems, repairing voice and data cables when necessary, and educating customers regarding the use of installed products.

Performance Objectives :
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure.
- Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems.
- Installing cable boxes, routers, and internet devices.
- Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
- Completing electronic paperwork such as timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, and work orders.
Subcontractor Requirements :

- General Liability
- Commercial Auto
- Workers' Compensation
- Valid Driver's License
- Must have a Personal Vehicle not older than 10 years, vehicle must be white per contractor request and may be either a truck or van
Experience :
Preferred one or more years of professional experience with cable / internet provider, preferably Optimum.
Compensation :
Rates can be discussed during interview with Market Supervisor
